My Million Dollar Mom, LLC has acquired the rights to include Mi'Shebeirach, a Jewish song/prayer of healing that was written, sung and produced by the late Jewish folk singer Debbie Friedman, in their film titled My Million Dollar Mom. My Million Dollar Mom has launched its crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo with the goal of raising $29,029 by May 18, 2015 (for those into geography, that happens to be the same number in feet of Mt. Everest).
The Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter has partnered with Ross Schriftman, filmmaker and producer of the upcoming movie, "My Million Dollar Mom." The film highlights the story of Shirley Schriftman, the filmmaker's mother, who died of Alzheimer's in 2009. The Delaware Valley Chapter is providing promotional support for the film project. Schriftman's production company, My Million Dollar Mom LLC plans to increase awareness and understanding about Alzheimer's through the film and raise funds for the Chapter.

At the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Copenhagen, scientists described five trials that taking the unprecedented step of testing drugs that may prevent the onset of the neurodegenerative disease in people not yet experiencing cognitive decline.
The participants in the trial are all at high risk of developing Alzheimer's either because they carry two copies of the ApoE4 gene, which is associated with a strong chance of developing the disease, or a genetic mutation that triggers the condition much earlier in life, during the 40s.
